Reviews
'Another well-loved picture book from Elsa Beskow.'
-- Kindling: Early Childhood Care and Education
'The illustrations are bold and colourful, they are realistic and seem to stand out from the page. The black and white silhouettes are fun. We liked this book and would recommend it to others.'
-- Karis (9) and Galen (5), Education Otherwise
'Author/Illustrator Elsa Beskow shares her old fashion charm, simple dialogue and her distinctive artwork with very unique shadow cutouts in the adventure tale and travels of Peter and Lotta. [...] Elsa Beskow should be added to other early nature writers/artists for children, like Beatrice Potter, etc. in creating a simple story through the eyes of innocent children, pets and people.'
-- Youth Services Book Review
'The illustrations and story are reminiscent of the olden days. Children will immediately know this story is from times past and also takes place in a country other than the U.S. Because of the otherworldliness of the story, it reads like a fairy tale. '
-- Youth Services Book Review
