Quick Look
Covers all aspects of a baby's first twelve months, including feeding and growth, diet and weaning, bathing and sleeping, and spiritual development, from a holistic perspective.
Description
A baby's first year presents parents with a variety of challenges. The initial excitement of pregnancy is followed by the child's birth and subsequent development, but many parents feel in need of significant support and information regarding the more mundane areas of daily life, such as nutrition.
This practical guide takes a holistic approach to the growth and development of a baby. Written by doctors qualified in both conventional and anthroposophical medicine, it deals with all aspects of the care of a small child up to the age of twelve months. Broken down into short comprehensive chapters spanning different periods of development, it covers subjects such as feeding and growth, diet and weaning, bathing and sleeping. It also includes sections on physical and spiritual development, and presents an overview of childhood vaccinations.
This book is an ideal reference for people embarking on parenthood for the first time, or as a refresher for those having a second or subsequent baby. Veteran parents in particular may find its holistic approach refreshing and inspiring in comparison to standard baby-rearing texts.
