Following her translation of the other three Gospels, Kalmia Bittleston turned her skill to the longest. The most striking feature is the unusual layout which helps to structure the text like a poem, often revelating aspects of the Gospel which may have previously gone unnoticed.
Author
Kalmia Bittleston was born in 1909 in South Africa. She trained for priesthood in The Christian Community during the Second World War and was ordained in 1944. She worked in Leeds and London until her death in 1989.
